# InRent

> InRent (https://inrent.site) is a student accommodation marketplace in Botswana. It connects university and college students with verified landlords offering rooms, flats and houses near campus, with in-app messaging, viewing bookings, applications and documented rental agreements. It is free to browse; students pay a one-time P100–P400 placement fee only when they move in, and landlords list for free and pay 5% or 7% only on rent facilitated through InRent.

- Coverage: Gaborone and surrounding student areas — Block 10, the University of Botswana (UB) area, Gaborone West, Extension and Tlokweng — expanding to Francistown, Maun and other university towns.

- Landlord fees: unlimited free listings. Platform fee only on rent facilitated through InRent: 5% (tenant management only) or 7% (InRent also onboards the tenant). Nothing upfront.
- Safety: never pay before viewing a property in person; verified InRent landlords will not ask for payment before a viewing.
